The safety latches being used to keep the toxic products inaccessible to children in the kitchen and bathrooms are a type that a child can operate, so the products would be accessible to children. The closets for keeping the water heater and furnace inaccessible to children have safety latches that can be opened by a child and the latches are mounted low enough that a child could reach.
